Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses ChatRid. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Consent and opt-in
WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook all require prior, explicit consent before you message a contact. You must:
- Have a clear opt-in record for every contact you message
- Honour opt-out / STOP requests immediately
- Not message recipients who have blocked or reported you
- Not use scraped or purchased contact lists
Prohibited content
You must not use ChatRid to send, store, or distribute content that:
- Is illegal under Indian law or the laws of the recipient's jurisdiction
- Promotes fraud, scams, phishing, or pyramid schemes
- Promotes hate, violence, or discrimination based on protected characteristics
- Is sexually explicit, depicts minors inappropriately, or is otherwise obscene
- Infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others
- Sells or promotes restricted goods (firearms, regulated drugs, gambling where prohibited, etc.)
- Is deceptive, misleading, or impersonates another person or business
- Contains malware, ransomware, or links to malicious sites
Prohibited behaviour
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam) of any kind
- Using ChatRid to harass, intimidate, or threaten any person
- Attempting to bypass rate limits, message caps, or other technical controls
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code from the platform
- Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the platform without authorisation
- Impersonating ChatRid, its staff, or other users
- Using the service to compete directly with ChatRid by reselling its capabilities
Compliance with Meta’s policies
You are responsible for following all rules set by Meta, including but not limited to:
- The WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy
- The WhatsApp Commerce Policy
- The Instagram Platform Policy
- The Facebook Platform Terms and Community Standards
Account suspensions imposed by Meta will be reflected in your ChatRid access. We cannot appeal Meta's decisions on your behalf.
Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Pause or remove specific messages, templates, or workflows
- Throttle your account's sending capacity
- Suspend your account pending investigation
- Terminate your account for serious or repeated violations
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
Reporting abuse
If you believe a ChatRid user is violating this policy, please report it to hello@chatrid.com with as much detail as possible.
Changes
We may update this AUP as the messaging landscape evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
